Abloom is a speculative exhibition that explores the physicality of artificially generated flora.

As nature constantly evolves and mutates, the speculation of new species through 3D software and generative AI helps us envision a future where critically endangered flora thrive in virtual space as they slowly disappear from the environment. By exploring inherent principles in nature, such as cloning and crossbreeding, we couldn’t help but wonder where the fine line between preservation and control sits to determine our influence over the spaces we inhabit.

The specimens of flora in this exhibition do not exist; tools such as 3D software and generative AI allow us to speculate how new species might evolve to survive on an environmentally compromised planet.

Collaborative exhibition at La Ferme de Tilleus, a cultural space located in Renens, Switzerland, from the 1st to 18 of December of 2022, as part of the encoragement prize awarded by the city of Renens and ECAL.
