As part of a collaboration between the EPFL+ECAL Lab and the Laboratory of Cognitive Neuroscience (LNCO), a series of projects were developed based on a brief that aimed to explore the concept of 3D virtual worlds as pathways to encourage lucid dreaming and higher realms of perception.
"Vestigios de Luz" explores a narrative set in a virtual world that is accessed through the physical representation of a sword. This sword acts as the main portal to the virtual world. By using a VR/MR headset, we experience an overlap between the physical and digital realms, ultimately transporting us into the virtual world. Within this world, the sword comes to life and communicates with us, as depicted in the accompanying short film.
